Standard paper stock for folded DL brochure printing at nprint is our premium 150gsm Silk.
Any thicker and there is a risk that the folds will crack the material. Cracking occurs if the design has a heavy ink coverage and uses dark colours across where the folds need to be.
It is possible to reduce the amount of cracking by creasing the A4 brochure first before folding, but where there is dark heavy ink across the folds there is always the likelihood of some cracking.

If you are producing an A4 roll fold brochure the sides which will be folded in first need to be 2 mm shorter than the other two parts of the sheet. If you don’t do this, your flyer won’t sit flat and you will get unwanted twists in the paper. The finished size of your document should be A4 or 210mm x 297mm. The panels need to measure 100mm / 100mm / 97mm respectively. Always remember to add 3mm bleed all round your artwork and supply with crop marks.
